The call was for the organisers of the pageant to formally introduce the finalists to the sector Minister. Mrs Delphine Brew-Hammond, the Organiser of the event, who led the delegation, said, as the number one tourism pageant in the country, it was right to formally introduce the ladies to the minister.
Mrs Ofosu-Adjare commended the organisers for the continuous use of such platforms to complement the Ministry’s domestic tourism drive to “Explore Ghana”. She also congratulated the ladies for making it to the final list to compete for honours on August 7. Mrs Ofosu-Adjare admonished the ladies to tolerate each other as they begin the house grooming exercise towards the grand finale. “The Ministry will continue to support the event and urged the queens to put up their best,” she added. She said the Ministry through its international exhibitions and fairs would expose the winner of the event to the international tourism market Miss Tourism Ghana is an annual event instituted by the organiser to choose an ambassador to promote Domestic Tourism in Ghana. |
