The week-long Oguaa Fetu Afahye festival is celebrated, every year in the first week of September, in the Central region of Ghana.
It is also a celebration to the contribution of Asafo companies in the 18th and 19th centuries which culminated in the nation ‘s independence.
The Afahye festival servees as reminder to the people of Oguaa of their culture and traditions as well as the importance of the Asafo companies in Oguaaman.
