The construction, which started in October 2012, was being handled by Chinese firm IPPR International Engineering Corporation after the Ghanaian and Chinese governments signed an MOU for a 30 million.
“The project is about 95 percent complete. The basketball and handball courts have been completed. The tennis court is being laid as well as the tartan tracks.
The grass on the pitch is also being worked on. The debris from all the construction work is being cleared and I can say that within a short time, the stadium will be handed over.”
The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 and it is expected to play a key role in helping develop sporting talents in the region for the benefit of the entire nation.
