MISSION & STATEMENT
The Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI)
exists to promote increased productivity in both public and
private organizations, primarily in Ghana,
to enable them contribute
to the growth of the economy on a sustainable basis.
It achieves this through
“Productivity Improvement Activities”,
“Management Development Programs”,
and
“Research and Publications and their Dissemination”,
using a team of highly motivated staff
with varied industrial and
professional experience.

FOREWORD
The 2h1th century has brought tremendous challenges including globalization, development of Information Communication Technology (ICT), the credit crunch and preservation of the environment all affecting productivity levels of countries and organizations. Countries and organizations alike are experiencing difficult situations and are under pressure to reform all areas of their economies and operations. The strategy to overcome the challenges of organizations and nations is to develop a strong and capable base of their human capital to manage the current turbulent challenges being experienced. Organizations are therefore looking to their Human Resource Departments to deal with this critical issue of the 21st century so that their organizations can be more competitive both domestically and internationally, to improve quality of their products and services and the management of diverse workforce.Every organization is therefore under extreme pressure to improve its performance so as to remain in business in today’s competitive global market.The Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI) exists to provide management development training, consultancy services, productivity improvement programs and other services to help organizations use their resources effectively and efficiently.

In the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the 2009 Financial Year, page 163, section 711, emphasis is placed on the development of the Human Resource of Ghana as contained in the theme “Investing in People, Jobs and the Economy for a better Ghana”.
Based on
this MDPI has developed programs to meet the various categories of the Human Resource in the country.
We believe that training and retraining has a positive impact on organizations’ overall direction, survival, growth, profitability, competitiveness and flexibility in adapting to changing conditions.
The 2010 management training program has been packaged to meet industry requirement both within and without Ghana.
We are
therefore inviting you to sponsor some of your staff on our programs this year. Besides, the Institute organizes customized training for individual organizations based on their identified needs and at their convenience.
