British Airways and American Airlines, with Iberia, have received regulatory approval from the US and EU authorities to be able to co-operate on transatlantic flights.
The joint business will lead to better service levels for customers. It means that customers will have access to a global network of more than 400 destinations, better scheduled travel time, more convenient connections and greater access to discounted fares by being able to book, for example BA and AA fares on ba.com.

Flight and holiday prices include all taxes, fees and charges.
Travel dates shown above are for outbound travel and/or holiday or car rental.
Holiday prices are in GBP per person based on 2 adults sharing, and include return British Airways World Traveller, World Traveller Plus or Euro Traveller flights from the departure airport as stated.
European and domestic flight bookings in Euro Traveller cannot be refunded but changes are permitted for £60 per person per transaction plus any additional fare. Worldwide bookings in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus cannot be refunded but changes are permitted for £90 per person per transaction plus any additional fare.
Travel on routes to North America in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be charged an additional £40 on top of the quoted fares. Travel on routes to the Caribbean, Central and South America will be charged an additional £50 on top of the quoted fares.
